Computers for Communities can also be reached using Internet Relay Chat (IRC). IRC is like a chat room, where people can communicate in real time.
Web Based Chat
The easiest way to join us on IRC is through our custom web-based application. We use a service called Mibbit. To join us online, please follow this link.
Networks
freenode.net hosts a series of IRC servers for not-for-profit organizations, social projects and open source software projects. This is a good entry point to get to the FGO IRC channel.
irc.ubuntu.com is another entry point to the FreeNode network.
Channels
We use the #com4com channel for discussion around the future of the Ottawa chapter of Computers for Communities.
To join, use the following command starting with the forward slash in your IRC client:
/join #com4com
