What are we looking for?

Although we will accept all working computers, we are currently in need of Pentium III and above ( >700MHz) or the equivalent. These machines are in need to drive decent desktop machines.

Higher powered computers with processing speeds >=1 GHz will help us set up computer labs using older technology such as PI, PII, PII machines of which we have a pile of.

One semi powerful computer can make 16 less powerful computers useful again.

What to do if I have a slower computer.

Still contact us and let us know you have the computer and looking to donate it. We can either work with you to find another source. We will also be contacting people on our list as soon as we can handle more slower computers. Usually we need one or two more powerful computers to help drive a computer lab with 16 or more less powerful computers.

In-Kind

We are always looking for items such as stationery, office equipment, furniture, storage shelves/racks, plastic bins, and tools of all sorts. Please check out our "wish list" or enquire as to our current needs.

Cash

Cash donations can either be a single payment or a regular monthly/annual contribution.

Voluntary Donations

In support of our programs and to defray the costs of recycling we kindly request a donation of $15 per full computer system or part there of.

With the newly announced provincial recycling program we have been able to decrease our costs concerning recycling. However, there are still costs associated with setting up computer labs and deploying systems to organizations and individuals.

These donations make community computing possible.

Pickup Voluntary Donation

If you need to have your donated computer picked up, we can send a volunteer out. We kindly ask for a voluntary donation of $5 for each pickup to cover transportation costs. remaining proceeds go to supporting our programs.

Fundraisers

We organize various events throughout the year to give members of the community to contribute by attending our events.

If your group has an idea of a joint fund raising activity that benefits both out groups we would be interested to hear about them.
