Hey Folks,

The event listing tool we have on our website has not been working for a
number of months, and thus we have been using our mailing list.

In the effort to lift the burden of RSVPing for our events we have an
interim solution. It is an application sitting on another website that
among other things can manage events.

To get to it you can go to our main website
(/). Under the "Volunteer" menu follow
the activity calendar link.

NOTE: This will take you to another site so your account info will not
be migrated.

However, the events site uses the OpenID method of authentication.  If
you want to learn more about OpenID check out: http://openid.net/

With an openID account you can access many sites (including
http://computersforcommunities.ca/) with a single sign on.

You may already have an OpenID account. Here are some popular providers:

NOTE FOR GOOGLE USERS: Feel free to try google as an openID provider. I
can not currently get this to work. but apparently your profile URL
should work. Eg. http://www.google.com/profiles/[your google id] .
Unfortunately if your google ID does not work I can not help other than
suggesting you research the issue.

If someone gets google to work please let me know.

I am currently using https://www.myopenid.com/ and it works great.
