Unfortunately, we are feeling the constraints of being a small group and have exceeded our storage capacity.
Due to this overwhelming success, we are not able to accept individual computer donations at this time.
However, we will continue to accept donations from our technology partners in the IT community.

C4C at the Ottawa Eco-Stewardship Fair

One of Ottawa's newest volunteer groups, Computers for Communities (C4C) will be exhibiting at the seventh annual Ottawa Eco-Stewardship Fair to be held at the RA Centre next to Billings Bridge Shopping Centre, on 24 April 2010.

MacDonald Manor

Computers for Communities marked its first installation of a community computer lab at MacDonald Manor in July 2009.
Computers for Communities provided 3 computers and printer, as well as provided the technical support for installation.
This project was made possible through the Tenants Circle (association) of MacDonald Manor. This building has 232 units of subsidized housing.

New Minimum Specs and Provincial Recycling
Submitted by samper.d on Thu, 04/23/2009 - 13:09Previously we had no minimum specification for machines coming through. That was before the start of Ontario's provincial E-Waste recycling program (http://www.ontarioelectronicstewardship.ca/).
Now we can still maintain our environmental and social mandates while not having to accept all obsolete technology.
We will accept at minimum any computer that is at least a Pentium II, Mac G4, or equivalent AMD and similar architectures.
